I told you once, but maybe you just won’t listen.
The Sausage Shop has the best pork sausage in town. Italian, hot or mild. Brats. Polish sausages. And exotic sausages, like Habanero and Jalapeño. They also have beef franks, which I imagine will be the best weenies you’ve ever had, and I imagine you’ve had a lot of weenies, as have we all.
The sausages come out of their freezer as hard as a rock, and arrive in my freezer in a comparable condition. And The Sausage Shop is only open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 to 4. If you’re thinking you’ll pop over for Sunday barbecue before the game, you may be eating from Chico’s, right across the street.
This is some kind of an El Paso culinary oasis, with The Sausage Shop, Chico’s, and Roscoe’s within an area that conventional weapons could turn to sludge in a heartbeat. The Central Bar offers bar food, and it’s a short nine iron away. I’ve never eaten there. I’ll get back to you.
Roscoe’s is also closed on Sundays, so cross that off your weekly bucket list. And seven days without Roscoe’s makes one week.
