KTSM News – El Paso closures for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Here’s a list of closures that will be happening around the Borderland on Marting Luther King Jr. Day which lands on Monday, Jan. 15.

Socorro Independent School District

The Socorro Independent School District will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes will resume and schools and offices will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

In case of an emergency, contact SISD Police Services Dispatch at (915) 937-4357.

Dona Ana Community College

Doña Ana Community College campuses and centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Campuses and centers will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 16 with spring classes beginning Wednesday, Jan. 17.  

El Paso Community College

El Paso Community College will not be offering services on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

This holiday coincides with the beginning of the spring 2024 semester. The first day of classes is Tuesday, Jan. 16.
