KTSM News – Carbajal, Acevedo face off for District 2 seat on El Paso City Council

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Voters in El Paso City Council District 2 will be heading to the polls Saturday, Jan. 20 to decide who their new city representative will be.

El Paso attorney and activist Veronica “Vero” Carbajal and El Paso ISD Board Trustee Josh Acevedo are facing off in a runoff in District 2.

They are vying to succeed incumbent Alexsandra Annello, who is running for House District 77. Annello said she was keeping her seat on the City Council until her successor is sworn in.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. You can find a list of Election Day polling locations by clicking here.

Early voting ran from Jan. 3 to Jan. 16.
