EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso will be holding a grand reopening celebration for the Dorris Van Doren Library after it was temporarily closed for renovations.
The grand reopening will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at the Dorris Van Doren Library located on 551 E. Redd Rd.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours of the upgraded facilities, special programming, and free refreshments.
“Thanks to an approximate $960,000 investment, the Dorris Van Doren Library now boasts new and upgraded paint and flooring throughout the building as well as beautiful new exterior cladding, improved infrastructure, and expanded programming spaces. The renovation project focused on creating a more inviting and dynamic space for learning and community engagement,” the City said.
