Posted on January 31, 2024

El PASO, (KTSM) — A 44-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly shot a person driving through his Northwest El Paso neighborhood on Monday, Jan. 30, assaulted three other people and took off his clothes as police arrived, El Paso Police said.

Raymundo Guerrero Jr., 44, is facing two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one assault charge, a charge of injury to elderly and four counts of deadly conduct.

His bonds total $585,000.

Just before 10 a.m. Monday, police say they responded to a call about a man who was shooting a rifle in a neighborhood along the 7800 block of Enchanted Ridge.

Police say they learned that Guerrero fired a handgun inside his home next to a 42-year-old woman, causing her to flee the home.

Moments later, police say Guerrero went outside armed with a rifle and began to shoot at multiple homes in the neighborhood.

At that time, a 41-year-old man was driving through the area, when Guerrero began to fire at his vehicle, police said.

The 41-year-old man was wounded and given first aid by a neighbor, police said.

He was later transported to a local hospital and was last listed in critical but stable condition.

After that, police said Guerrero went to the homes of two other people and assaulted them.

Guerrero then took off his clothes and ran outside as officers began to arrive, police said.

Guerrero was attempting to flee back into his home when police apprehended him.
