Border Report – San Diego Lifeguards tow boat of migrants from Mission Bay Channel

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A small disabled boat carrying over a dozen migrants was towed by San Diego Lifeguards on Thursday morning, an official with the City of San Diego confirmed to FOX 5.

The boat was taken to the SD Lifeguards headquarters from the Mission Bay Channel.

The city official said no injuries were reported, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection was notified of the incident.

FOX 5 has reached out to San Diego Border Patrol for more information.

No further details were immediately available.
