KTSM News – Firefighters put out house fire in Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces firefighters put out a residential fire early Monday morning, Jan. 5.

The fire happened at about 5:20 a.m. along the 1200 block of Van Patten Avenue. Firefighters were sent out to a fire at a home and first-arriving crews found flames were clearly visible.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in 13 minutes, according to a news release sent out by the City of Las Cruces.

A search of the home found no occupants inside. No injuries were reported.

Damage estimates and the cause of the fire have yet to be determined.
