EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – In celebration of Valentine’s Day, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank will be hosting a unique event that combines volunteerism, community spirit and the search for love, the food bank announced in a press release sent Thursday, Feb. 8.
Singles from across the Borderland are invited to the “Volunteer Singles Mixer” event that will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the food bank’s facility located at 9541 Plaza Cir.
The event it’s an opportunity for singles to make meaningful connections while giving back to the community, according to the food bank.
The food bank says attendees will engage in volunteer activities, spreading love and compassion to those in need while potentially finding a special connection with “like-minded” individuals.
Singles can volunteer anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with the event starting at 11:30 a.m.
Whether sorting food donations or packing food boxes, participants will have plenty of chances to interact and bond with fellow volunteers, according to the food bank.
