EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — If you need a little help getting your taxes going this filing season, there is a free event scheduled for Friday evening, Feb. 9 that just might be your ticket.
State Sen. Cesar J. Blanco, D-El Paso, will be hosting his 10th annual VITA Tax Preparation event from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Clint Early College Academy, 3100 Alameda Ave.
The event is in partnership with GECU and the VITA Tax Assistance Program offers free tax preparation services to taxpayers who earn $58,000 or less.

Providing free tax assistance is more than just a service; it’s a commitment to ensuring that every individual, regardless of their economic circumstances, can access the tax refunds they are entitled to while contributing to the financial well-being of our community,” Blanco said.
