KTSM News – Burges High School evacuated after campus receives threat

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) —EPISD’s Burges High School underwent an evacuation protocol after the campus received a threat on Monday morning, Feb. 12, according to an EPISD spokesperson.

EPISD released the following statement: “As a precautionary measure, Burges High School is undergoing an evacuation protocol. El Paso ISD Police Services assisted in escorting students and staff to the nearby MacArthur PK-8 School. This decision was made in response to a threat that was received by the campus earlier today. All students and staff are safe.”

No further information has been released. This story will be updated as soon as we learn more.
