The official high today was 71! What a gorgeous Friday. That’s why I’ve triggered the Weather Authority Alert due to the dramatic drop in temperature and gusty, chilly winds.
TONIGHT: The skies will be mostly clear. The winds will shift direction overnight, from the NW to the NE as a cold front begins to push in. The west slopes will experience occasional gusts with the NE winds at 10-20 mph. The low will be 39.
FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert for Saturday due to the gusty winds on the west slopes as well as the significant drop in temperature. The east-NE winds will range from 10-30 mph on the east side with gusts over 50 mph on the west side. Expect partly cloudy skies and a high of 56. Sunday will be sunny and warmer with lighter winds a high of 67… a nearly perfect day. Monday will be mostly sunny and 73. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 79. Warm and gusty winds from the SW could pop us up to 80 on Wednesday. Those warm gusts will peak at 50 mph. Thursday will be mostly sunny and cooler with a high of 69. Friday will be partly cloudy and 72. Saturday will be partly cloudy and 74.
