KTSM News – City unveils new mural at Women, Infants, Children center

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The City of El Paso is inviting the community to celebrate the unveiling of a new mural at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the city’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) center located in the Segundo Barrio neighborhood.

The new mural, which was created by local artist Adrian Lopez, was created to enhance the historical, cultural and aesthetic appearance of the building to that of the neighborhood, according to the city.

The city says the new mural also mural adds cultural character, encompassing the City of El Paso’s downtown revitalization efforts. It also aligns with the Texas WIC’s branding standardization efforts.

In addition to the remarks and unveiling of the mural, festivities include pan dulce from Bowie Bakery and aguas frescas.
