EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The El Paso Independent School District Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill the trustee single member District 3 vacancy, through an appointment process, the district announced in a news release Friday, Feb. 23.
The district says interested individuals can access the qualifications, required application forms and relevant policies here.
“We are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to serving our community and ensuring the best education for our students,” Board President Israel Irrobali said.
The vacancy was created when Josh Acevedo was elected to the El Paso City Council during a special election.
The following information was provided by the district for interested individuals to take into consideration:
All applications must be notarized and sworn to under penalty of perjury.
The completed application form, School Board Candidate Questionnaire, and the applicant’s resume should be submitted in person to the Office of the Superintendent at 1014 N. Stanton.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The filing period for this appointment is from Feb. 23 to March 25, during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
Additionally, the district is inviting the community to join the candidate forum and learn more about each candidate at 5:30 p.m. April 2 at Austin High School.
