Are you ready for some rain to wash off all the dust from today? We’ll get that rain on Wednesday. As expected, it was a gusty, dusty day today with a peak gust of 55 mph in Las Cruces, 47 mph in El Paso. Weather Watch Janet Walters sent this beautiful picture of a rainbow. Could we see a rainbow tomorrow? Probably not because we shall be cloudy all day, and you need sunshine behind you to see a rainbow.
TONIGHT: The west winds will slowly die down through the night tonight. West winds range from 15-40 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes. The skies will be partly cloudy, and the low will be 50. The dusty haze will settle down early in the evening.
FORECAST: Wednesday will be cloudy with scattered showers and cooler, lighter winds. The east-SE winds will range from 10-25 mph, and the high will be 61. The heaviest rainfall will happen Wednesday evening into the early morning hours of Thursday. Thursday will start out with clouds and a few lingering showers early in the morning but will clear by midday. Thursday’s high: 66. Friday will be sunny and beautiful with a high of 74. Saturday will be partly cloudy and moderately windy with a high of 79. Sunday will bring gusty winds and a dusty haze with a high of 80. Peak gusts will approach 50 mph. Monday will be partly cloudy and cooler with a high of 70.
