Wasn’t it wonderful to get some rain last night? At the airport, we received a grand total of 0.34 inches, bringing our official total for the year to 0.75 inches. The weather will clear up just in time for the beginning of the Leap Year Festival in Anthony, TX that starts on Friday. To get ready for the festival, I got a cumbia dance lesson.
TONIGHT: The skies will be clear overnight, and the west winds will range from 10-25 mph early in the evening, stronger gusts on the east slopes. The winds will slowly die down through the night, and the low will drop to 40.
FORECAST: Friday will be a beautiful day with a high of 74. Enjoy a sunny day with warmer breezes out of the SW at 5-20 mph. Saturday will be mostly sunny with just a few clouds and warm winds. With a high of 79, the SW winds will pick up and gust to near 30 mph (no dust). Sunday will be mostly sunny with moderate winds. The SW winds will peak at 45 mph. We could see a slight dusty haze on Sunday. Sunday’s high: 80. Monday will be partly cloudy with gusty winds and a dusty haze. With a high of 79, the west winds will gust to 50+ mph. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and 69 with cooler winds. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 71.
