EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso woman has died after she failed to yield the right of way which led to a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, March 7 in East El Paso, El Paso Police said.
Police said just before 9:30 a.m., Silvia Resendiz Alonzo, 69, was traveling south on the 1900 block of Seagull in a Toyota Highlander and stopped at the intersection of Montwood Drive and Seagull Drive.
Police said Alonzo entered the intersection to make a left turn to Montwood and at the same time, Jesus Ivan Sotelo, 33, was traveling west on Montwood in a Nissan Titan.
Police said Alonzo did not yield to Sotelo and was T-boned by the truck.
Alonzo was then transported to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
