EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso residents will have a chance to provide feedback on the type of characteristics a city manager should have.
The City will be hosting “city manager community engagement open houses” from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18 and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Both meetings will be held in the main conference room on the second floor of City Hall, 300 N. Campbell.
The city is preparing to begin a national search for a new city manager.
In preparation for the search, the City hired a national recruitment firm, Baker Tilly, which will meet with the mayor and council members and the public to “get a strong foundation on the type of candidates the City should be looking for before hiring the permanent city manager,” according to a news release sent out by the City.
“Embarking on the journey to select our next city manager is a critical step in shaping El Paso’s future. We aim to find the right candidate who embraces our community’s mission and vision,” said Mayor Oscar Leeser. “The community’s feedback is very valuable, and your participation will play a crucial role in selecting a leader who will guide El Paso toward continued prosperity and success.”
