EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — it’s time once again for the Borderland’s second largest district to showcase student talents at the Spring Games
Socorro Independent School District (SISD) will have their 36th Annual Spring Games on Wednesday, April 3.
The Spring Games is aimed for students with disabilities to display their abilities to compete in various competitions, according to SISD.
According to Socorro ISD, more than 1,000 students will compete in track and field events, at the Student Activities Complex, located at 1300 Joe Battle.
Parents, teachers and the community are invited to support and cheer on the athletes.
The elementary students will compete from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the middle- and high-school students will compete from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Athletes who will participate in the Spring Games are eligible to compete in the Special Olympics Spring Games at the city and state levels, according to SISD.
