EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man is in custody and another person is injured after a shooting near Lynn Middle School Wednesday morning, April 3 in Las Cruces, City of Las Cruces Public Information Officer Dan Trujillo said.
Trujillo said the incident happened at around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Sambrano Avenue and S Walnut Street.
Trujillo said one gunshot wound victim has been transported to UMC in El Paso and a man who is believed to be the suspect is currently in custody.
Due to the investigation, Lynn Middle School has been placed on a temporary lockdown and no students will be allowed onto the campus for now, Trujillo said.
