EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Welcome the new and permanent Director of El Paso Parks and Recs!
The City of El Paso has appointed the permanent Director of the Parks and Recreation Department.
According to the City, Pablo Caballero will begin his new role immediately.

“We are excited to promote Pablo Caballero as the permanent Director of Parks and Recreation, a department within the City’s Quality of Life Portfolio. Not only is he deeply passionate about Parks and Recreation, but as interim, he has been customer-focused and pragmatic, nimbly balancing operational realities with short staffing and expectations of our community related to reopening facilities,” said Deputy City Manager Dionne Mack.
According to the news release, Caballero has 25 years of experience developing and recreational programming in El Paso and Cuidad Juarez.
Caballero has a master’s degree in business administration, focusing on finance and marketing.
