EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — La Nube, El Paso’s new children’s museum and science center, announced that it will have its grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 10.
In preparation for the grand opening, La Nube is finalizing the last phases of construction, installing interactive exhibits, and developing education programs, according to a news release that was sent out Tuesday, April 16.
La Nube will also host several soft openings for staff recruitment and training to “ensure that every aspect of the guest experience is finely tuned and ready for public unveiling,” according to the news release.

“This monumental event marks the culmination of years of dedication and collaboration, bringing to life a visionary project poised to enrich the lives of families and individuals across the El Paso community and beyond. The stunning four-story, cloud-inspired structure at La Nube will serve as Downtown El Paso’s creative hub, boasting state-of-the-art facilities and immersive exhibits across 70,000 square feet, while revolutionizing STEAM learning. More than just a museum, La Nube will offer hands-on learning, experimentation, and play for all ages, from toddlers to adults,” according to the news release.
Stephanie Otero, vice president of operations at the El Paso Community Foundation and interim director of La Nube, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of La Nube. El Paso will soon be home to the latest and greatest world-class children’s museum and science center. Our mission is not only to serve as a beacon for STEAM education but also to promote inclusion and accessibility for all.”
La Nube is also celebrating by offering a year-long family membership.
To be eligible for the giveaway, people should follow La Nube’s Instagram and Facebook accounts (@lanube915), tag three friends in the comments, and “express excitement” about visiting La Nube, according to the news release.
No purchase is necessary. The giveaway ends at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, May 1. The winner will be notified on May 13 and announced on La Nube’s social media stories.
