KTSM News – El Paso Water Parks to open in May

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Water Parks will soon be opening for their fourth season as summer nears.

The City of El Paso is sharing the following opening-themed dates for specific parks:

May 4 – Chapoteo Water Park, Cinco de Mayo Party

Located at 1225 Giles Road

May 11 – Lost Kingdom Water Park, Luau Party

Located at 6001 Hughey Drive

May 18 – Camp Cohen Water Park, Wild West Party

Located at 9700 Gateway North Boulevard

May 25 – Oasis Water Park, Summer Splash Party

Located at 13501 Jason Crandall Drive

New this year, the water parks will be going completely cashless. They will accept credit and debit cards and tap-to-pay methods at all parks, according to the news release by Destination El Paso.

As well, the parks will be introducing public swimming lessons, according to the news release. The lessons are $45 per person and include eight 30-minute classes. Registration for the swimming lessons open on May 20.

“This year, we are focused on providing a safe, convenient and enjoyable experience for all guests. From our new cashless payment system to our exciting seasonal events and swim lessons lineup, we are committed to making this summer sensational,” said Director of Water Parks Operations Pavolva Sheffield.
