EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — The U.S. Border Patrol on Wednesday confirmed that shots were fired from Mexico toward agents in El Paso’s Lower Valley.
An agency spokesman said the incident happened in San Elizario, Texas, near International Marker 51 of the border wall.
Agents from the El Paso Sector said the shots were fired just before 5 p.m. MST.
The Border Patrol said it notified and asked authorities in Mexico to look for the gunman or gunmen.
There were no injuries.
