EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two El Paso Community College (EPCC) Acting II students will be headed to prestigious acting programs this summer.

Bledsoe’s journey for acting will take him to California next month and will last for six weeks to train in the Meisner Technique, according to the news release by EPCC.

“I am going in with a completely open mind. I don’t know what to expect, and that’s exciting to me. I want be challenged. I want growth. Meisner’s approach was to get actors out of their own way by getting them out of their head and intellect and into their intuition, impulse and imagination, working solely off your fellow actors. I am also just curious to see what it’s like to train in a professional setting,” said Bledsoe.

Garrett will be heading to Orlando, Florida, to begin his program in June, and will end in January 2025, according to EPCC.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to secure a theater job with the company as a character attendant. It’s a dream come true to blend my passion for theater with the magic of Disney, and I can’t wait to embark on this unforgettable journey,” said Garrett.

“Beyond honing my acting abilities, I’ve had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in various aspects of theater at EPCC, including set designing, playwriting, and directing. Through these experiences, my creativity has flourished, allowing me to explore new horizons and perspectives,” said Garrett.
