The official high today was 93 (same as yesterday), and the peak gust was 37 mph. We actually cool down a bit on Thursday as the winds get stronger. Unfortunately, next week will be a harsh weather week with our first triple-digit day and gusty winds every afternoon.
TONIGHT: We’ll see a few clouds early in the evening, but skies will be clear overnight. The W winds will range from 10-35 mph with the strongest gusts on the east slopes of the mountains. We could see a slight dusty haze before sunset. Slowly, the winds will die down overnight. The low will be 65.
FORECAST: Thursday will be partly cloudy with gusty, slightly cooler winds and a dusty haze by afternoon. The west winds will pick up midday and peak at near 50 mph. Thursday’s high: 88. On Friday, the winds will be lighter, and the high will be 90 under mostly sunny skies. High pressure starts to build up in a dramatic way for the weekend. Saturday will be sunny with fairly light winds and a high of 96. Sunday will be partly cloudy with warm winds and a high of 99. Monday will be mostly sunny with hot, gusty winds. The SW winds will peak near 55 mph, which will cause a dusty haze. Monday’s high will be 101 which, if we hit it, will be the first triple digit day of the year.
