EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is inviting the community to celebrate National Bike Month with their bike safety event this week.
The “Downtown Bike Safety Event” will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 18 at the San Jacinto Plaza, located at 111 E. Mills Avenue.
According to the news release by the City, the family-friendly event is free to the public.
The following features will happen at the event:
9 a.m. : Bike Safety Class
Children of all ages can learn about laws and safety tips to use when riding their bikes.
9:30 a.m. : Downtown Mural Bike Ride
Cyclists can join a free guided bike tour of murals throughout Downtown El Paso. The ride is hosted by the City, Downtown Management District and Visit El Paso.
10 a.m. : Free Yoga Class at San Jacinto Plaza
Hosted by Live Active El Paso
Podium Finish, a local bicycle repair shop and coffee bar, will be at the event to provide repairs, a gear giveaway and more, according to the City.
