EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Star on the Mountain will light up in green on Tuesday, May 28 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Border Patrol, the El Paso Chamber announced in a press release.
The El Paso Chamber says the green illumination symbolizes respect and appreciation for the Border Patrol’s commitment to safeguarding the borders.
“The U.S. Border Patrol has been instrumental in shaping the safety and security of our community, as well as the flow of commerce. Lighting the Star green is a symbol of our deep gratitude and a celebration of their century of service. Congratulations to the U.S. Border Patrol on this historic milestone,” said Andrea Hutchins, president and CEO of the El Paso Chamber.
