EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Sunland Park Fire responded to four separate heat-related emergencies on Friday afternoon, May 31, the department said via its X social media account.
Three people were transported with life-threatening injuries, including one who who was transported by helicopter.

The incidents happened at about 1:45, 4:15, 4:20 and 4:25 p.m. Friday afternoon, Sunland Park Fire said.
Sunland Park Fire did not say where the incidents happened.
KTSM, however, was on the scene of one of the rescue operations in the desert area along Rio Grande Drive near Riverside Elementary School. There, a helicopter responded to transport the patient.
Sunland Park Fire did not say if the people involved in the incidents were migrants or not.
