EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Your 9-Day Forecast is taking a turn. I’m talking about rain chances in the Borderland.
Starting Friday, we are forecasting a 20 percent chance of rain and a high of 107 degrees. We can expect showers to begin around noon Friday. In the evening there is a chance of thunderstorms. We can also expect rain and high temperatures to bring us humid conditions. Our overnight low for Friday sits at 80 degrees.
Moving over to Saturday, there is still a 20 percent chance of rain in the afternoon. No thunderstorms will be predicted for this day. We are forecasting our high to reach 102 degrees with an evening low of 77 degrees.
Sunday, we are forecasting to warm up to 101 degrees paired with 15 percent chance of afternoon showers with an overnight low of 73 degrees.
Rain is still present for Monday. We are predicting a high of 99 degrees taking a small break from those triple digits. We have a 15 percent chance of afternoon showers for this day as well.
Tuesday, we are back with dry conditions and sunny skies. Our high for this day is forecast to reach 103 degrees. This is a reminder to stay hydrated, cool off when needed and stay indoors if possible.
Now over into Wednesday, the high warms up even more to a forecast high of 105 degrees, we can expect dry conditions for this day. Allergies have a chance of flaring up as well.
Thursday is another hot day with a predicted high to reach 106 degrees with an overnight low of 78 degrees.
If you have noticed, many of our overnight lows are lingering in the upper 70s and lower 80s, This would be beneficial on some occasions like late night dinners or going for a swim.
The remainder of the week: Highs are forecast to sit in the triple digits with overnight lows in the upper 70s.
