El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Friday started off with humid conditions and some cloud coverage. This may have kept us slightly cooler throughout the day as the day’s high is forecasted to reach 103 degrees.
Isolated showers are also predicted Friday afternoon and we can expect more rain in the evening with the possibility of thunderstorms before midnight.
Now over to Saturday: We are forecasting a high of 101 degrees with an overnight low of 81 degrees. There is a 20% chance of isolated afternoon showers this day as well.
Sunday is another day of rain chances in the evening, with a 20 percent chance of precipitation. Our overnight low for Sunday is 74 degrees.
As much as we are excited for moisture in the Sun City, Monday is only predicted to have a 10% chance of isolated afternoon showers. Our high for this day is forecast to reach 99 degrees. This will be the only day we won’t be seeing any triple digits.
Dry conditions and triple digits are back on Tuesday with a predicted high of 103 degrees and sunny skies. In the evening, temperatures dip to 72 degrees.
Wednesday is another hot day with a forecasted high of 107 degrees. I encourage everyone to remain hydrated, stay cool and indoors if possible. Many risks come with extreme heat such as dehydration, heat strokes, heat exhaustion and more.
We have a possibility of breaking records on Thursday if we reach the predicted high. We have a forecasted high of 108 degrees, which would break the record of 106 last reached in 1980. In the evening, we are expected to sit at 81 degrees.
The remainder of the week will stay in the triple digits while overnight lows are a mix between the mid 70s and lower 80s.
