EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Sunland Park Fire rescued three people with heat-related injuries on Friday, June 7 in two separate incidents.
Two migrants were rescued at about 5:30 p.m. with heat-related injuries on Mount Cristo Rey, they said.
One female patient was treated with an ice bath and then was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A male was treated on scene and released to the Border Patrol. No ages were given for the two patients.
A third patient in a separate incident by the Camino Real Landfill was transported with what were called heat-related injuries that were not considered life-threatening. That incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunland Park Fire did not say if this person was a migrant or not.
