We added to the misery meter today with an official high of 102. The record was 107 set in 2022. Wednesday’s record high is 109 set in 2021, so we’re unlikely to break a record tomorrow with my predicted high of 107… but we will be close.

FORECAST: KTSM has issued a Weather Authority Alert due to the extreme heat that will affect the Borderland over the next few days. A Heat Advisory is posted for Wednesday starting at noon. Wednesday will be sunny and very hot with a high of 107. The variable winds will range from 5-10 mph. Thursday should be the hottest day with a high of 110. An Excessive Heat Warning is posted for Thursday, so exercise extreme caution outside. The SE winds will range from 5-15 mph, and the skies will be partly cloudy. Friday will be another extreme heat day with a high of 106. Saturday will be sunny and 103. Father’s Day will be sunny with hot breezes and a high of 105. Monday will also be sunny and 105.
