EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Otero County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding an alleged sex offender who is now a fugitive.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with the New Mexico Probation and Parole Office to find James Martin of Tularosa, New Mexico. Martin is believed to have removed his GPS monitor and fled, the Otero County Sheriff’s Office said.

His last known whereabouts were El Paso and/or Sunland Park.
Martin has an active warrant for probation violation and criminal sexual penetration of a child, according to the Otero County Sheriff’s Office.
He may have shaved his head, and he drives black 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage with a New Mexico tag of AXZP98.
Anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him and contact your local law enforcement agency.
