EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 26-year-old man was arrested Friday, June 28 for killing one person and wounding three others during a shooting at an East El Paso bar back in March, according to the El Paso Police Department.
El Paso Police Crime Against Persons detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Devonte Lamar Minter, 26, for his involvement in the murder of Mario Daniel Avalos, 37, according to EPPD.
EPPD said the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located Minter and took him into custody on June 28. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $500,000 bond.
As we previously reported, at about 2:17 a.m. Saturday, March 16 a total of four people were shot outside the Rock City Bar and Grill at 2285 Trawood.
In the incident, Avalos died from his injuries at the hospital, according to EPPD.
The other victims were a 20-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man.
