EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – This week, Destination El Paso’s Lauren Falco and KTSM’s Karla Draksler meet up at the historic Plaza Theatre.
The theater was built in 1930 and served as a movie theater until the late 1980s when it was ultimately shut down.
Thanks to El Paso Community Foundation, the Plaza Theatre was remodeled and reopened again in 2006.
It now holds over 2,000 seats and has been ranked as the 60th best theater in Top 200 Theaters worldwide in Pollstar Magazine’s Mid-Year Report.
