EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 41-year-old man is facing an aggravated assault charge after he allegedly stabbed another man multiple times over the weekend, Socorro Police said.
Jesus Angel Huerta, 41, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond of $500,000, Socorro Police said.
Officers responded to a call regarding an aggravated assault at 12:08 a.m. on Sunday, July 7 at the 200 block of Flor Amarilla, according to Socorro Police.
When officers arrived at the house, they found a male victim outside on the porch bleeding with multiple stab wounds, Socorro Police said. Police did not say how old the victim was or what led up to the stabbing.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is currently receiving treatment for his injuries, Socorro Police said.
According to Socorro Police, Huerta was found inside the home and taken into custody without incident.
Detectives with the Socorro Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division arrived at the home to conduct an investigation and obtained a warrant for Huerta’s arrest, Socorro Police said.
