KTSM News – Hot dry weekend; slight rain chances Monday – Your Exclusive 9-Day Forecast

Posted on July 13, 2024

El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Hello, El Paso. We are in for a dry and warm weekend.

We are not under any heat advisories at this time, but let’s still keep cool and stay hydrated.

The remainder of Saturday, we can expect to stick to dry and hot conditions with light winds throughout the day. Later in the evening, we will cool off to 76 degrees.

Sunday’s weather conditions will be similar to Saturday, dry and hot.

The high is predicted to reach 99 degrees with southeasterly winds ranging from 5 to 10 mph.  In the evening, temperatures are expected to sit at 75 degrees with minimal winds.

We have a slight chance of seeing moisture once again on Monday. The day will have a 20% chance of storms in the afternoon, possibly making their way into the evening.

Our expected high for Monday is 100 degrees, paired with an overnight low of 75 degrees.

Tuesday, we continue with the pattern of moisture, but it will remain slim. We are predicting 20% chance of afternoon storms, with the possibility of them lingering into the evening. Our forecasted high for the day will be rather warm sitting at 101 degrees and dipping to 76 degrees in the evening.

As for Wednesday, we have a 30% chance of afternoon storms once again, with a high of 99 degrees.

This day will kick us off the triple-digit streak we were on from Monday and Tuesday. Evening temperatures are expected to sit at 76 degrees, with slight storm chances.

The moisture pattern and double digits will remain for both Thursday and Friday.

The high for Thursday is expected to reach 93 degrees. Friday is forecasted to warm up to 95 degrees. Lows for both days will be in the lower 70s.

Now, as we make our way into the weekend, humidity and clouds may be a factor for Saturday with a predicted high of 96 degrees.

Rain chances are not visible for this day, but by the looks of the cooler double-digit temperatures and humidity that can very well change.

Sunday, we are back to dry conditions and some intervals of clouds throughout the day. Our high is predicted to warm up to 95 degrees. In the evening we are expected to dip to 73 degrees.

Sunday night will be the coolest overnight low out of the week.

Topping it off with Monday, we have a forecasted high of 92 degrees and a 15% chance of afternoon storms. Storms are expected to be likely for this day. As we inch closer, I will ensure to keep you updated.

If you noticed, Monday is one of the coolest high in our nine-day forecast.
