EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The new school year is upon us. Have you gotten all of your school supplies?

The following are the first day of schools for the following school districts throughout El Paso County:

Clint ISD – July 22

Clint Early College High School – July 29

San Elizario ISD – July 23

Tornillo ISD – July 29

Ysleta ISD – July 29

Anthony ISD – Aug. 1

EPISD – Aug. 5

Canutillo ISD – Aug. 5

Northwest Early College High School Freshman – July 30

Fabens ISD – Aug. 5

Socorro ISD – Aug. 5

IDEA Public Schools – Aug. 5

Burnham Wood Charter Schools – Aug. 5

Harmony Public Schools – Aug. 12

Here are the upcoming Back-to-School events:

Live EP Back-to-School 5k Walk or Run

From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27

Located at Eastwood Park, at 3110 Parkwood St.

Participants are encouraged to take part in the 3k run or walk

Will have free food for 100 families, while supplies last

Free backpacks, while supplies last

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office’s Back 2 School Backpack Giveaway

Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 20

Located at El Paso County Sheriff’s Office HQ Cafeteria, located at 3850 Justice Dr.

Free backpacks, while supplies last

El Paso Community College “School Store” Event

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20

Located at the EPCC Cafeteria Annex at the Valle Verde Campus in Building C, at 919 Hunter Dr.

1,200 free backpacks filled with school supplies, while supplies last

Coiffures Barbershop Back to School Free Haircuts

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7

Located at the Coiffures Barbershop on the second floor at Cielo Vista Mall, near the food court, at 8401 Gateway West.

EPISD’s Back to School Fiesta

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31 at 10 high schools of the district.

One lucky student will be selected as a “Golden Ruler” and receive $100 to purchase school supplies and a $1,000 Amazon Wishlist buyout for their school.

Anthony ISD Community Health Fair

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23

Located at Anthony High School Auditorium, at 825 Wildcat Dr.

Update children’s immunizations

Free backpacks will be given to students who are present and are registered with Anthony ISD for the 23-24 school year
