EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Consul General of Mexico in El Paso Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de Leon was joined by El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego and El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser on Wednesday, July 31, as they paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the Walmart shooting on August 3, 2019.

The ceremony took place Wednesday morning at the Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso located at 910 E. San Antonio Ave., El Paso, Texas.
“The Government of Mexico reaffirms its support for the families of the victims and acknowledges the ongoing pain affecting the binational community of El Paso-Ciudad Juarez,” the consulate said.
