EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The community is invited to El Paso Animal Services’ “first big event,” Woofstock, at its recently opened Westside Adoption Center.
The event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at 5625 Confetti Dr.
“Woofstock offers an exciting opportunity for attendees to enjoy free dog adoptions, thanks to their Clear the Shelters Campaign, providing a chance to find a fur-ever friend and bring home some ‘pawsitivity,'” read a press release sent by the City of El Paso.
To ensure pets stay safe, free pet microchips will be available, along with discounted dog and cat vaccines provided by El Paso Animal Urgent Care West, according to the City.
The event will also feature food, games, a t-shirt tie dye station, live music from Fargo, DJ Mezza, DJ Izzy R, Des Cota and more.
“This event brings a chance to bring the community together to take advantage of essential services while also supporting pets in need,” said Terry Kebschull, El Paso Animal Services director. “Hosting this event at our new Westside Adoption Center also allows us to reach more residents, making it easier for them to find and adopt a new family member.”
