BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Mexican authorities have recovered a stolen Brownsville ambulance and it is back in the United States, police say.
The Brownsville Police Department said in an update, the stolen ambulance has been safely recovered and is back in the U.S.

At 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, the Brownsville Police Department and Brownsville Fire Department responded to the 2000 block of International Boulevard.
According to a social media post from Brownsville PD, a man was complaining of abdominal pain and requested to be taken to the hospital.
The man later jumped into the driver’s seat of the ambulance and drove away from the scene.
Luna said the suspect drove the ambulance toward the International Border to Mexico, where it crashed into the barriers.
No injuries were reported from the incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
