EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso County is opening its community centers as cooling centers beginning Saturday, June 15, and will continue to until August 15, providing a safe and cool environment for residents during the hot summer months.

El Paso County, in its care for the residents, is opening its community centers as cooling centers. With El Paso already experiencing 21 days of 100+ degree heat in June alone, we invite you to visit the centers and cool down throughout the day at one of our indoor air-conditioned centers.

The following cooling centers are available every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Saturday:

Agua Dulce Community Center – 15371 Kentwood Ave., Horizon City, Texas.

Fabens Community Center – 201 NW Camp St., Fabens, Texas.

Canutillo Community Center – 7351 Bosque Rd., Canutillo, Texas.

The City of El Paso also has cooling center locations that are open and available for residents. Locations and hours of operation for these cooling centers can be found here: City of El Paso Cooling Centers.
