EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A video involving a coach from Parkland High School that has recently gone viral on social media is causing concern for parents.
The video, captured by a student, shows a coach allegedly slamming a student onto the gym floor of Parkland High School.
KTSM reached out to the Ysleta Independent School District for comment and received the following response:
“The incident is currently under investigation and the coach has been placed on administrative leave. Because certain matters involving students and personnel are confidential by law, the Ysleta Independent School District is prohibited from providing further details. However, we want to reassure the public that Ysleta ISD follows policy on all personnel matters and is taking appropriate action.”
The student involved is allegedly a special education student. However, YISD did not confirm that information.
