EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) is now accepting applications for the Police Trainee 139th Academy Class, the department announced in a news release.
EPPD said the application opened on Thursday, Aug. 15.
Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age by the date of graduation from the academy. No prior law enforcement or training is required, according to EPPD.

EPPD is also accepting applications for lateral police officers. Qualified applicants must already have a Texas State Peace Officer License by the start of the academy, according EPPD.
