EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Three people were injured in a shooting after an altercation at a home escalated Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17 in Deming, New Mexico, according to a news release issued by the Deming Police Department and the City of Deming.
The three injured people were airlifted to El Paso for emergency treatment, according to the news release.
At about 4 p.m., two individuals drove to a home in the area of 1000 W. Birch Street in Deming where an altercation resulted in gunfire, according to the news release.
“No innocent bystanders were injured,” according to the release. “This is an isolated incident, and the public is safe as there is no ongoing threat.”
Detectives with the Deming Police Department are investigating the incident. Names of the injured people have not been released.
