EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County announced a new rate structure on Tuesday, Aug. 27 for areas that are receiving County-managed water and sewer services.
New rates take effect on Oct. 1.
Areas that are impacted include: East Montana; Desert Acceptance; Mayfair-Nuway; Schuman-Brothers; Colonia Revolucion; and Hillcrest Center areas.
“This rate schedule is intended to provide basic water and sewer (where applicable) services to families while also encouraging conservation. This rate schedule applies to all meter sizes within the system,” the County said in its announcement.
Monthly fees for water service in these areas will be $42.34 a month with additional fees being added after 3,000 gallons of use. Monthly fees for wastewater service will be $40.82 with additional fees kicking in after 2,000 gallons.
