EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A vehicle pursuit involving New Mexico State Police ended at the White Sands Mall in Alamogordo on Thursday night, Aug. 29 and caused the evacuation of some stores there, the Alamogordo Police Department said.
At about 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Alamogordo Police Department were alerted that a vehicle pursuit initiated by the State Police had entered the city. The vehicle pursuit ended at the White Sands Mall parking lot, Alamogordo Police said.
Alamogordo Police responded to assist with the incident and in helping State Police secure the scene, according to Alamogordo officials. Alamogordo Police said that “nearby businesses” were evacuated but did not say how many.
When asked if any injuries happened during the incident, Alamogordo officials referred us to New Mexico State Police.
