EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — New Mexico State University (NMSU), after an extensive search, announced its new president on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 19, through the university’s X account.
Valerio Ferme, Ph.D. has been selected by NMSU’s Board of Regents to be president, according to the university.
According to NMSU, Ferme was previously the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at the University of Cincinnati since 2021.
