EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Horror icon Tuesday Knight, known for her starring role in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master,” will attend Oculto Film Fest in El Paso this year.
The event will take place from Oct. 4-6 at the Philanthropy Theatre inside the Plaza Theatre in Downtown El Paso, and from Oct. 11-13 at the Cinemex inside of Plaza El Camino in Ciudad Juárez.
Knight’s appearance will be a highlight of the festival’s opening night on Friday, Oct. 4 in El Paso, according to a news release sent by the festival.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet the actress, engage in a Q&A and celebrate her iconic status in the horror genre.
Knight, whose work spans film, music and television, is best known for portraying Kristen Parker in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” film series, according to the news release.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tuesday Knight to this year’s Oculto Film Fest,” said Cabe Tejada, festival director. “Her role in ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ defined a generation of horror fans, and her participation elevates what is already shaping up to be our most exciting festival yet.”
In addition, the festival will showcase over 200 short and feature films from around the world including selections from Argentina, Spain, Mexico, the United States, Brazil and Turkey.
The festival will also be televised over Halloween weekend, allowing a wider audience to experience the event through Canal 44, Canal 66, and Canal 33.2, according to the news release.
