EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Independent School District has named a new principal for Clendenin Elementary School.
Claudia Núñez is the new principal at the elementary school in Central El Paso, located at 2701 Harrison Ave., the district said in a news release on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
“Núñez brings with her a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student achievement and community engagement,” the district said.
With over 18 years of experience in education, Núñez has served in various capacities, including assistant principal at Mission Valley Elementary since 2019.
“Her focus on curriculum development and data analysis has consistently led to improved student outcomes. Prior to her role as an assistant principal, she worked as a math/science instructional coach, where she facilitated effective staff development sessions and collaborated with key committees to enhance student success,” the district said.
Núñez holds a master’s degree in reading instruction from the University of Texas at El Paso.
